Using the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), gene expression data was analyzed to determine the immune function signature of an isolated cancer sample. Such signatures were found to provide a basis for correlations with prognosis or for moreconvenient indications of treatment options. This type of data can potentially indicate the extent of an anti-tumor immune response or tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) could be available for further exvivo amplification and subsequent therapy.
