LiFEES, conductive salt for lithium-ion batteries / accumulators
Fluorinated ethanesulfonate derivative/ conductive salt for lithium-ion batteries.
High thermal stability
Wide temperature range
Better performance
Lower toxicity
Lithium ion batteries are widely used as mobile energy storage.
The invention describes a fluorinated ethanesulfonate derivative and its use as a conductive salt for lithium-ion batteries. In contrast to LiPF6, similar to LiB8, the leading electrolyte shows a higher thermal stability and lower toxicity of the combustion products. This provides a wider temperature range, e.g. For lithium-ion batteries with comparable performance possible.
