- Addition of electrolyte and method for forming a SEI film (solid electrolyte interphase) for lithium-ion batteries. Fluoracetone or its derivatives are added to the propylene carbonate electrolyte in a low concentration. During the first charge / discharge cycle, fluoroacetone decomposes on the graphite electrode and forms an electrode surface protective layer.
