Method for stable production of diploid gametes for triploidization via surrogate reproduction

- Certified technology describe production of diploid gametes (currently under certification procedure, printed version is expected in March 2020). Presentation of the developer approach at scientific conferences. Alternative approach for triploidy induction utilizing transplantation of tetraploid germ stem cells (gamete precursors) into normal diploid recipients has been developer and optimized. Production of diploid gametes and possibility to use them for triploidization with no need to apply further manipulation has been confirmed in zebrafish. High space and time requirements to rear experimental fish of other species (tench). We initiated cooperation with team from University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Center in Brno, where produced zebrafish triploids are utilized for toxicology tests investigating effect of compounds with estrogenic activity. Future collaboration with aquaculture companies is expected after finalizing developedt method in aquaculture species.
