- Detailed Technology Description
- The invented method of behavioral monitoring of crawfishes and/or mollusks (12) is characterized in that at least one physiological function of a crawfish and/or mollusk (12) is sensed in real time by a non-invasive sensing element (8) fastened to the crawfish and/or mollusk and is transmitted into a computer (7) in the form of a digital signal, which is processed by a software for evaluation reactions of the crawfish and/or mollusk (12) to natural and/or artificially induced environmental changes. The invention is further characterized in that natural behavior of the crawfish and/or mollusk (12) is continuously and in real time monitored along with the physiological function by a camera (5), whereby at the same time, there are simultaneously monitored at least 3 crawfishes and/or mollusks (12). Each crawfish and/or mollusk (12) is accommodated in its own aquarium and a photographic record of the natural behavior made by the camera (5) is transmitted in the form of a digital signal into a computer (7), where it is compared and evaluated simultaneously with the digital signal of the non-invasive sensing element (8) for monitoring physiological function by means of a common evaluation software. The present invention also relates to a behavioral system for carrying out the above-described method.
