3D Printing Using Peroxide Bearing Powdered Materials as Catalyst/fillers
Invention: This invention involves the inkjet 3D printing of liquid precursors with epoxide orvinyl reactive groups into powder beds of extraterrestrial materials or simulants with catalyticperoxidizing or Lewis acidic metal sites which allows formation of thermoplastic or thermosetcomposites for agile manufacturing. Applications:• Allows for conversion of extraterrestrial regolith to valuable manufacturing material. Gives astronauts ability to produce wide variety of objects Results in huge savings of fuel and money• Could provide better feedstock for 3D printing of houses; Allows for fast, cheap and customizable structures Advantages:• Need better description of technology to determine advantages as compared to competitors.
