Hydrophobic Graphene Oxide Sponge (GOS) for Efficent Oil Separation and C-C Coupling Reaction
- Detailed Technology Description
- Researchersat the University of Delaware are proposing a novel method to synthesize asuperoleaphilic graphene oxide sponge. Treatment of improved graphene oxidewithout a cross-linker produces a highly selective 3D carbon framework whichfacilitates improved absorption of deoxygenated fuel molecules from water. Thismaterial also possesses high activity for C-C coupling which imparts severalbenefits. This method provides a sustainable solution to absorption andseparation difficulties.
