- University researchers have developed methods and compositions that pertain to morphology-controlled materials for use as lower-cost, high energy density cathodes in lithium ion batteries. These materials have the potential to significantly increase the overall energy density of state-of-the-art lithium ion batteries which would be good candidates for onboard storage for electric vehicles and mobile power. This technology has a patent pending and is available for licensing and/or sponsored research.
