- SPC24 and SPC25 act as components of the essential kinetochore-associated NDC80 complex. This complex is required for chromosome segregation and spindle checkpoint activity. SPC24 and SPC25 are required for kinetochore integrity and the organization of stable microtubule binding sites in the outer plate of the kinetochore. The described mouse antibody binds to human SPC24 and SPC25 and has been described for use in immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and western blot.
