-
Switched power supplies, like Buck converters, often cause ringing voltages and currents and fast switching events will excite parasitic resonant structures. This ringing often causes EMI problems. The presented invention includes a method to suppress this voltage ringing due to the parasitic resonance. This method involves a use of a two additional small passive components to achieve the suppression with hardly any effect of the efficiency of the converter. A proper implementation of this method can result a significant suppression of ringing in the switching voltage waveform as well as radiated EMI.
