Non-confidential Abstract of Invention: A method of preparation which provides ceramic materials with controlled porosity at relatively low temperature is disclosed. The basic idea of the method is to soak an initial porous ceramic material by the metal-organic polymer (or copolymer), and anneal it to decompose the polymer. At the soaking stage of the process the metal-organic polymer (or copolymer) fills the pores in the body of the initial ceramic material and covers the particles of this material. At the decomposition stage of the process the metal-organic polymer (or copolymer) is converting into amorphous metal oxide causing decrease of the pore size and densification of the initial ceramic material.
