The biomedical community does research in many areas including genetic engineering and stem cell research. With these numbers on the rise it is important to be able to transport these unique rodent models potentially great distances regardless of the weather. Currently, it is difficult to transport rodent models and especially live animals due to varying climates during transport. Researchers at the University of Missouri have developed a container to serve the purpose of transporting these animals and animal models to the researchers in need. Phase Change Material (PCM) will be utilized as will unique structuring to ensure the safe and humane travel of rodents and rodent models.POTENTIAL AREAS OF APPLICATIONS:• Animal transport for scientific research• Transportation of any living or nonliving entity that requires temperature accommodations.
