The method for amplifying a continuous-time digital signal involves producing bit waveforms from a continuous-time digital signal. A fractional voltage controlled by the associated bit waveform is generated. The output voltages from the fractional voltage sources associated with the bit waveforms are combined to form a composite voltage. The composite voltage is used to drive a load. The system includes a bit waveform generator and a fractional current source. The method and system reduces residual aliasing and quantization noise.
