Title of the invention: Circuits with dynamic biasing
- Summary
- Lead Inventors: Yannis TsividisA system for the implementation of dynamically biased circuits that vary according to the signal amplitude.A class-AB circuit and a class-B circuit are selected with an input and a bias. An output is generated by an input-output character having a crossover region which exhibits distortion. An amplitude detector is configured to receive and detect the amplitude of the input signal. The bias is dynamically adjusted with respect to the amplitude. The bias controls the output signal such that it avoids the crossover region. The method provides a circuit that can accommodate signals of various amplitudes in an energy-efficient manner, maintaining a high signal-to-noise ratio. The system avoids excessive interaction between the bias control and the signal.
