Noise and distortion reduction during signal conversion
- Summary
- Lead Inventors: Yannis Tsividis, Ph.D.Problem or Unmet Need:Accurate signal processing and conversion are essential for communicating all forms of audio, visual and thermal information. However, noise and distortion arise in part due to sampling, a process that measures the signal to be converted at various time points and assigns a value after a comparison is performed. This technology is a method to dynamically transmit signal information in order to ensure no information is lost between sampling points. The system receives an input signal and generates a conditioning signal. The input and conditioning signals are then synchronized and transmitted together to a receiver, which dynamically adjusts to this combined signal throughout the signal conversion process.
