-
Naresh Shanbhag from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign together with Mingu Kang and Min-sun Keel have developed a memory array that can store data, carry out computation on it and deliver the results of the computation as its output. The technology known as Compute Memory is particularly well suited for machine learning, inference and big data applications.Compute Memory has superior energy efficiency and lower latency over conventional systems. Delay and Energy reductions over conventional systems are 128X and 22 X respectively.
