Energy Efficient Electrochemical Conversion of Carbon Dioxide to Carbon Monoxide With Bismuth Electrodes
- Detailed Technology Description
- The invention is asystem that allows for the selective electrochemical conversion of carbondioxide to carbon monoxide with high faradaic and energy efficiency. The process uses an inexpensive metallic cathodein combination with an anode that may be comprised of variety of materials. This electrolysis system can be comprised ofeither a single or two compartment cell and employs an organic electrolyte.
