Design and Optimization of Surface Adhesion
- Summary
- Researchers at Purdue University have developed an experimentally validated scientific model that can be used to predict the adhesion force of rough, deformable, geometrically complex particles to rough, deformable surfaces in vacuum, gas, or liquid environments. This model has been used to develop an algorithm and associated software code to allow users to properly design and optimize this type of process.
