- *Abstract
-
Current methods for characterization of thin membranes involve an application of tensile forces in 4 orthogonal directions using synchronized linear actuators. Such methods are extremely expensive and allow for a limited stretching with creation of a minimal uniformly stretched area. This approach allows for the development and use of a novel system for application of equally distributed forces, enabling greater, uniform and equal stretching of the membrane as compared to conventional approaches.
