- *Abstract
-
Till date, bacterial genetic resistance to antibiotics has been a major threat to global healthcare management. Infections caused by such bacteria are extremely difficult to treat. Researchers have tried various mechanisms and technologies to overcome this issue; however, none of the existing mechanisms are really effective as they are associated with one or more limitations such as multiple dosage requirements, ineffective treatment (infection relapse) and reduced antibiotic shelf life. This invention relates to the development and use of novel, silver nanoparticles embedded polymersome nanocarriers to effectively target such antibiotic resistant bacteria.
