Animal strains selectively bred for emetic sensitivity

- *Abstract
-
The innovators have developed a musk shrew that can be used for testing antiemetic drug candidates and emetic liabilities of other drug classes. This model is sensitive to motion, chemotherapy, anesthesia, and many other emetic stimuli.AdvantagesInstead of using known (older) drug targets for developing antiemetic drugs these strains could be used to scan for genetic variants that could identify new antiemetic drug targets.Available for Non-exclusive Licensing
