*Abstract: The Virtual Dental Patient is a computerized system for dental assessment. The system uses a patient's digital medical records to construct an accurate 3D model of the surface anatomy of hard and soft tissues, tooth contacts, and jaw motion. The system can compare the patient model to general population statistics to generate a report to aid the diagnostic process.
