This system offers enhanced needle placement in tissues. Strain gauges are placed on at least two separate locations on the needle to measure insertion force present at the needle tip. This process provides biofeedback which creates a digital tissue model, allowing physicians to visualize tissue structures located within another body of tissue in real-time. The process facilitates accurate needle placement relative to organs, as well as enhancing needle placement accuracy in locations without clear boundaries between specific tissue structures.
