- *Abstract
-
This epicardial pacemaker lead can be used in patients with previous transvenous leads and as a pediatric pacemaker in children who are not good candidates for transvenous leads. The lead is designed for insertion through a transxiphoid or subxiphoid incision and subsequent connection to a pulse generator. Coils and sensors are configured in a loop which can be secured to the paricardium with a single suture, which also allows for easy removal.
