Madin Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cells expressing the epithelial Na channel (ENaC)
- Detailed Technology Description
- None
- *Abstract
-
Clonal lines of MDCK cells were created expressing alpha, beta and gamma subunits of mouse ENaC. MDCK cells expressing the epithelial sodium channel can be used (i) to study the basic biochemistry of the channel biosynthesis and membrane trafficking, and (ii) to screen chemical or peptide libraries for inhibitors of the channel.
