A-02 PinFix: 3-D Universal External Fixator
- Technology Benefits
- ΓùÅ Extremely light: Compared to conventional technology such as ACE 3D external fixator, PinFix is less bulky and lighter. The ball joint weighs only 2.9g (0.006lb).ΓùÅ X-ray permeable: PinFix is highly X-ray permeable, which facilitates the observation of bone fractures, without removing the device before X-ray test.ΓùÅ Lower Cost: Production cost for PinFix is much cheaper than conventional technology.ΓùÅ Versality: PinFix can be inserted into bones by any angle and can be adopted to small and complicated parts or major bones. ΓùÅ Strong and Stability: Based on structural engineering, PinFix achieves stronger stability than ACE 3D with three times more resistance than conventional technology.
- Technology Application
- ChildΓÇÖs fracture: Complex fracture; Micro bone fracture; Fractures in complicated bone structures
- Detailed Technology Description
- The device is composed of: multiple pins for insertion in bones, ball joints separately linked to each of the multiple pins, and titanium rods for connections between ball joints, realizes light, inexpensive, and rigid percutaneous fixations for bone fracture treatment.
