Thi solution is applicable in all trasparent surfaces used in architecture and automotive design, without the need to modify their production processes. In particular, the device "NIR" allows you to switch from a warm light in winter to a cold light in summer. These characteristic varaibles make it the only dynamic-passive product applicable to transparent surfaces of small and medium size.
Detailed Technology Description
The system is composed of a pair of linear movable polarizing filters, characterised by a specific nanostructure and preferably made using nanolithographic processes Roll2Roll. The range of polarization is designed according to the extension of the transparent surface, its orientation and the climatic area of installation. An aim be that it, for example, obstructs heat-delivering "near-infrared light" (NIR), but not "visible light", in a dynamic and passive way. Instead, large glass surfaces could draw a greater benefit from the adjustmentoh the entire solar spectrum. In the range of polarization, the parameters of transmission and reflection are linked by a relationship of inverse proportionally while the low absorption levels remain costant.
