- eMuscle employs shape memory polymers (SMPs) as the raw materials to produce various kinds of products with auto fitting/tensioning/fixation function. Through the molecular design of the SMPs, the shape recovery/fixation temperature is tunable. With the high reversible elongation ratio and tunable recovery temperature of the material, auto fitting and auto tensioning and fixation functions are realized. These features facilitate the development of wearable electronic products. This technology can also be applied on healthcare products like customized adjustable splints.
