Method steps: the terminal transmits a transaction request message to the data carrier. Upon receipt of the transaction request message, the data carrier emits a transaction request notification signal. If the notified transaction is not supposed to be carried out, a transaction rejection signal can be input into the data carrier within a predefined transaction deferring interval. A planned transaction can be carried out without requiring any further action by the user.
