High torque, low noise, habitation friendly wind turbine for moderate wind areas
- Summary
- Variable geometry wind turbine with speed regulation and storm protection features. The system is truly omnidirectional and works with wind blowing any direction. Compared to classical wind turbines it requires to be bigger to generate the same power output but it is much lighter in terms of weight and manufacturing costs are much less. Quite operation, working with moderate winds, lack of light modulation, high starting torque, speed regulation and ease of maintenance are expected pluses.
- Technology Benefits
- Variable geometry wind turbine system which can be used in moderate wind areas. It has big potential to be used for utility power generation at high wind areas. Even bigger potential for heating/cooling applications when used on rooftops of high rise buildings. It is aesthetically pleasing and s solid shadow. The device is patented in USA, EU, Japan, S. Africa, Singapore and New Zealand. Selling of patent rights, licensing or regional joint manufacturing options may be considered.

- Patent Information
- Issued patent
- Others
- A unique selling point of the device is its applicability to rooftop applications for high rise buildings. The design is suitable to be used on rooftops because of low weight, low noise and omni-directional wind operation. When coupled with heat pump it can store wind energy as hot water and cold water in separate insulated water tanks to be used for building heating and cooling applications. That way we have natural energy storage. Additionally this is not a regulated market.
