Detailed Technology Description
The system is used to start coal-fired steam boiler from cold state and to flame stabilization on the low load. This system uses extra fine mechanically activated coal dust instead of oil or gas.
The oil free ignition system is implemented into pulverized coal supply system that can be used for a wide range of coals, from anthracite to lignite.
Coal dust from pulverized coal silo is fed to coal activator in order to increase flammable properties of coal dust and makes it extra fine. Disintegrator mill is used as the coal activator. The mechanically activated coal is fed to pilot burners while cold start and low load operation.The mechanical activation is the process aimed to increase chemical activity of the coal dust using mechanical impact. Special disintegrator mill is used to make mechanical impact on coal particles. The mechanical energy of mill is transferred to the coal particle and accumulated in it with the defects. The mechanical activation occurs when the defect formation rate is greater than the defect extinction rate. Disintegrator mill uses a free impact action on the coal particle, in comparison with other coal pulverizes which use an abrasion action, in general.

The group of inventions relates to thermal power engineering and pertains to technology for the transport of, and the separate and combined combustion of mechanically activated micro-ground coal and standard dust-preparation system coal in a vortex ignition burner while igniting a coal-dust boiler and stabilizing combustion, with the aim of replacing expensive mazut or natural gas.
