- A cost-effective automatic eye tracking novel software that can test
visual function especially in young children where testing is problematic. The visual function is based on the presence or absence of Optokinetic Nystagmus (OKN). This software can be used with off the shelf high resolution video cameras and computers. It also does not require a person to use a headrest, which is problematic especially with children. OKN is the phenomena of involuntary eye movement triggered by a continuously moving pattern or stimulus. The presence or absence of OKN has been shown to be an objective indication of visual performance.
