Invisible Security Marks and Their Usage in IoT

Summary
To combat ever-growing counterfeit consumer goods, NAMI has developed novel color changing and fluorescent security marks for product authentication.

Unlike commercial color-changing materials that require UV light source to trigger, NAMI’s color changing materials can be easily triggered by visible light source such as flashlight on mobile phone. By adopting novel ink formulation, inkjet-printed security marks like QR codes and smart tags being revealed by visible light source have been realized. By using a mobile device, the secret QR code is colorized and scannable. This technology can be used for IoT applications such as connection to webpages, cloud platform and real-time database.

NAMI has also developed a new class of luminescent ink showing different fluorescent colors upon irradiation by different kinds of light sources, offering a higher level anti-counterfeiting.
Technology Benefits
