The Last Elf of the Orient
- Summary
- Orphan Fudo was abandoned when the Nian, the elves of the Orient, were banished from his village. Because of the unicorn horn growing from his forehead, he is a loner that is constantly bullied. He leaves on an epic journey across forests, swamps and deserts to find his kind, meeting fairies who give him a magical weapon. When he finds a Nian, Fudo cannot persuade it to leave his village in peace. Using the fairies' weapon, which strikes with explosive sounds, he seals it in a cave. The Nian's defeat is still celebrated on Chinese New Year with explosive firecrackers.
