- Daniel Hechter revolutionized the textile industry during the sixties by producing highly creative collections that reflected a fashionable lifestyle instead of being aimed at a social elite. In 1962, he launched his first women’s collection, thus inventing the ready-to-wear clothing and bringing fashion out into the streets.
The designer then developed menswear and sportswear collections. Nowadays the brand dresses Hechter men who are “casual sartorialist” and Hechter women who are sophisticated with a sense of style.
This successful international brand, available in 55 countries, celebrated its 50th birthday in 2012!
