Summary
Originated in Hong Kong, McMug and McDull are two little pigs with dummy look and innocent personality drawn by local cartoonist Alice Mak with stories written by Brian Tse. The comics first appeared in 1988 and soon gained popularity , attributed to their meaningful stories covering serious social topics such as death, poverty, unskilled labour and single-parent families which resonate with audiences far beyond children. The plotlines are also known for covering local cultural festivals, and celebrities, reflecting the deep roots of Hong Kong culture.

The lovely created figures have been appearing in many channels such as TV episodes, movies and licensed merchandises. Not only over 3000 items in 100 series have been produced, they have also joined hands with different industries in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland for diverse promotions, such as gas station, restaurants, convenient stores, supermarkets, financial institutions and etc. For public sector, McMug & McDull also take up the ambassador role in civil education with the HKSAR Government.
