Axial mode helix antennas are used as RFID base station antennas but the number of winding of helix antennas are at least 10, making them too high for use as base station antennas. To address the problem, an integrated wire elliptical helical antenna with novel cuboids dielectric resonator loading for circularly polarized wave transmission and reception is developed. The antenna is utilized in RFID systems as a base antenna.
