Dielectric Microstrip Transmission Line

Summary: CityU inventors have developed a new dielectric waveguide known as dielectric microstrip line (DML). Designed for low-cost millimeter waves and Terahertz front-end systems, the DML does not have any metal conductor, and consists of three dielectric layers. It also has a planar structure that can be fabricated by standard printed circuited technologies. The new structure may lead to development of novel passive circuits such as antennas, filters, power dividers, and directional couplers.
