Summary
The present invention relates to a new method for the synthesis of triaroylbenzene by secondary amine and DMF-catalyzed cyclotrimerization of acetylenes. This method can be applied for the synthesis of new branched organic materials and polymers containing the triaroylbenzene moieties. The polymerization is a simple one-pot reaction,strictly regioselective and highly functionality-tolerant,giving oligomer and polymers with high yields. The resulting have been characterized by IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR, from which satisfactory results have been obtained. The polymers are processible, easily film-forming,and thermally stable. The present invention can be blend with a variety of macromolecules for general use.
