Soluble Branched Triaroylbenzene-Based Polymer and Its Synthetic Method含叁苯甲酰基苯的超支化(共)聚閤物
- Summary
- The present invention introduces a novel process of preparing branched polymers and branched organic materials containing triaroylbenzene moieties as one structural unit by cyclotrimerization.
Among conventional methods for synthesis of hyperbranched polymers, it is found that degree of branching is relatively low and ratio of functionalities is hard to control. Exploration of new synthetic approaches for hyperbranched polymers is desirable.
In this new process, polymerization is a simple one-pot reaction, strictly regioselective and highly functionality-tolerant, giving oligomeric and polymeric polymers with high degree of branching (up to 100%) in high yields (up to 99%). Polymers are processible, easily film-forming, transformable (curable) into thermosets by heat or irradiation, and readily crosslinkable by UV irradiation to give patterns with nanometer resolution. The present invention can blend with a variety of macromolecules for general use.
The invention can be used in optical (light-emitting polymers, hole- or electron-transport materials, optical limiters), thermal (curable films, thermosets, adhesives), electronics (negative resist), and magnetic devices. Ferrocene-containing polymers and their ceramic products may find applications as homogeneous supported catalysts.
