- Summary
- The Chinese University Plagiarism IDentification Engine (CUPIDE) system is a new generation plagiarism detection software designed for promoting and upholding academic honesty in academic institutions. In addition to English plagiarism detection, CUPIDE is the first system of similar applications in the world, including China and Taiwan, which supports traditional and simplified Chinese plagiarism detection. The system supports checking plagiarism in multiple sources of documents. When a batch of documents (Word Doc, Adobe PDF, HTML, and plain text) is submitted to CUPIDE, it will check for plagiarism in the following scopes:(1) Within Submission, (2) Past year submission, (3) References like books, notes provided by course teachers, (4) Resources in the Internet, and (5) Various well-known digital libraries.
