Method for Personal Identity Verification Based on Photoplethysmographic Signals

Summary: A novel personal identity verification method based on biometric information of human body is disclosed. In particular, a new biometric of human body, photoplethysmographic (PPG) signal, is investigated for personal identity verification. This personal identity verification method is noninvasive and can easily be accepted as an identity verification method by people. More importantly, this method can be efficiently integrated with other biometric technologies, which can improve the verification and identification capability of verification and identification systems.
