Subset Coding

Summary
A coding scheme is proposed to transmit a large file to multiple destinations through a communication networks employing network coding. The core component of this scheme is sparse linear matrix codes that extend LT codes from a point-to-point setting to a network setting. With precoding, this scheme can achieve linear encoding/decoding complexity in terms of the number of packets. Previous coding schemes for similar problems either require the intermediate network nodes to have a buffer size equal to the whole file, or to depend on heavy control messages to coordinate the transmission. This scheme only requires a fixed small buffer size at the intermediate nodes and minimal control messages.

Title: SMALL MOLECULE COMPOUNDS THAT CONTROL PLANT- AND INSECT-PATHOGENIC NEMATODES | COMPOSÉS À PETITES MOLÉCULES QUI RÉGULENT LES NÉMATODES PATHOGÈNES DES PLANTES ET DES INSECTES
Usefulness: SMALL MOLECULE COMPOUNDS THAT CONTROL PLANT- AND INSECT-PATHOGENIC NEMATODES | COMPOSÉS À PETITES MOLÉCULES QUI RÉGULENT LES NÉMATODES PATHOGÈNES DES PLANTES ET DES INSECTES
Summary: The composition is useful for: modifying behavior of nematode, where the nematode behavior is reproduction, development, dauer formation, aggregation, attraction, repulsion, dispersal, deterrence, feeding, host finding or host invasion; reducing the likelihood or preventing parasite (nematode or an insect) infection of a plant, where the insects are European corn borer, beet armyworm, cabbage looper, corn ear worm, fall armyworm, diamondback moth, cabbage root maggot, onion maggot, seed corn maggot, pickleworm, pepper maggot, or tomato pinworm; promoting or inhibiting reproduction in a nematode in contact with a plant; and promoting or inhibiting nematode aggregation at a first location in a plant including dicots, monocots, crop plants, alfalfa, rice, wheat, barley, rye, cotton, sunflower, peanut, corn, potato, sweet potato, bean, green bean, wax bean, lima bean, pea, chicory, lettuce, endive, cabbage, brussel sprout, beet, sugar beet, parsnip, turnip, cauliflower, broccoli, turnip, radish, spinach, onion, garlic, eggplant, pepper, celery, carrot, squash, pumpkin, zucchini, cucumber, apple, pear, melon, citrus, strawberry, grape, raspberry, pineapple, soybean, tobacco, tomato, sorghum, sugarcane, ornamental plants, Arabidopsis thaliana , Saintpaulia , Petunia , Pelargonium , poinsettia, Chrysanthemum , carnation or Zinnia , where the nematode is e.g. Caenorhabditis elegans , Caenorhabditis brenneri , Caenorhabditis remanei , Caenorhabditis briggsae , Caenorhabditis japonica , Panagrellus redivivus or Steinernema feltiae , Meloidogyne javanica , Meloidogyne floridensis , Meloidogyne incognita , Meloidogyne hapla , Steinernema riobrave , Steinernema diaprepesi , Steinernema carpocapse , Heterorhabditis bacteriophora , Heterorhabditis floridensis , Heterorhabditis zealandica , Steinernema glaseri or Nippostrongylus brasiliensis (all claimed). Tests details are described but no results given.
Novelty: Modifying behavior of nematode, e.g. Caenorhabditis elegans, Caenorhabditis brenneri and Caenorhabditis japonica, comprises administering composition comprising substituted tetrahydropyran compound to the nematode
