Novel Power Saving Schemes for RFID System Implementation

Summary: There are four new power saving technologies are proposed in this invention. These four technologies allow an active RFID system significantly extend its life span, particularly in the application cases in which the active RFID tags are stationary to a reader. According to the experiment test and conservertive calculation the power consumption under the cases is about 200 times lower than that of an active RFID system adopting ISO18000-7 protocol. The active RFID reader developed based on the new technologies can also automatically detect the tags based on ISO18000-7 protocol and the tags based on the proposed technologies.
