Roll bender Flexible tool for bending profiles
With the roll bender, a profile can be rolled and bent in two or three dimensions in one clamping. In addition, with the roll bender, the cross section or the wall thickness of a profile can be changed locally, whereby a new method for the production of load-adapted profiles is available. The roll bender makes it possible to bend profiles of all kinds (including triangular profiles). This reduces makeready times if different profiles are to be bent on a machine.

The pressure-stress superposition used here increases the accuracy of the bending and also allows the bending of thin-walled as well as thick-walled profiles of high strength. In addition, with the roll bender, the cross section or the wall thickness of a profile can be locally changed, whereby a new method for the production of load-adapted profiles is available. The core of the roll bender is a flexible roll stand with a special, split roll, which adapts its width to full coverage of the profile side, depending on the roller delivery.
