A novel approach to engineer proteins with improved stability
Researchers at Oklahoma State University have uncovered a novelmethod to engineer more stable protein variants. Based on a new set ofprinciples, this method is superior compared to previous methods, allowingresearchers to obtain very stable protein variants with ease. OSU researchershave already used this novel set of principles as a guide to introducemutations into a protein, which successfully engineered a protein variant withsubstantially improved stability.
