Air-assisted accelerator for low-pressure liquid chromatography (AAA-LPLC)
OSU researchers have created a compact air-assistedaccelerator device that converts common laboratory air valve supply into aclean and regulated pressure source. Addinga pressure source to low-pressure liquid chromatography columns speeds upsolvent flow, resulting in equally pure samples within a much shorter timeframe, thereby increasing production speed. Thisversatile device can be used for protein purification using affinity, ionexchange, desalting, and other chromatography methods.
