Water Based Rechargeable Batteries

- NAMI has developed a water based rechargeable battery technology for applications where strict requirements are put in place for bio-safety and general safety. This battery is constructed of safe and eco-friendly materials, using a hazard-free and low-cost process. As the battery employs aqueous electrochemistry, high power can be attributed, for instance, full capacity can be retained under a high continuous discharge (1C) current. The battery has stable operation in the temperature range from -20°C to +40°C and has comparatively exceptional performance for temperatures below 0°C, making it highly suitable for use in cold climate. It also supports 5C-10C pulse current without a great reduction in performance. This battery can be fabricated through conventional method or by printing for higher ease of customization for different battery size, voltage and capacity.
