A Natural Compound for treating cervical cancer
This invention relates to a chemical entity isolated from natural sources for its
therapeutic uses. More particularly, it relates to a compound that is naturally occurring in
the plant of Garcinia esculenta and its biological activity of antitumor effects.
In this invention, we found that griffipavixanthone, a
natural compound from Garcinia esculenta, can regulate autophagy and cell death on
cervical cancer cell line.
The present
invention has application in the treatment of human cervical cancer.
A compound
griffipavixanthone is naturally occurring in the plant of Garcinia esculenta
and its biological activity of anti-cervical cancer effects through regulating autophagy,
thus, can be used as active compounds in drugs for cervical cancer treatment.
