Non-aqueous Solvent Medium (NASM) Dyeing for Textile

Detailed Technology Description: The traditional dyeing process require large water quantities, which adds in to the water pollution problem. Waterless dyeing methods cannot be widely adopted by the industry due to existing technological limitations. The project has developed a non-toxic 2-in-1 non-aqueous solvent medium (NASM) dyeing system, using supercritical carbon dioxide (Sc-CO2) to replace water to dye the yarn and garment respectively. Moreover, the unique design of the dyeing vessel ensures uniform uptake of dye molecule on the substrate.
